Keiro means "respect for the
elderly." At Seattle Keiro, Nikkei Concerns' skilled
nursing facility, we live up to our name. Because of our attention
to maintaining the highest quality of resident care, we have
earned the reputation as one of the finest nursing homes in
the Pacific Northwest.
At Seattle Keiro, we ensure that the essential
qualities of dignity, comfort and respect are central to every
service we provide to our residents, 24 hours a day. Whether
your loved one is recovering from a hospital stay and in need
of short-term rehabilitation, or experiencing a medical condition
that requires longer term care, our commitment to the individual
is unwavering. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are honored
to be a part of each individual's life as he or she moves
through the aging process. Seattle Keiro is the choice when
a high standard of living is important.

"I'm
very grateful for the care that is given to me.
Thank you."

"My family is very appreciative
of all the Keiro staff. We feel so fortunate that
our mother is at Keiro. She receives quality care.
She is comfortable here, plus she feels at home
there. It's wonderful that she is able to have
her culture in many aspects of her surroundings
and foods. I speak very highly of Keiro to friends
and associates. Thank you all so much."

We believe it is important for you as a family
member to trust the organization that is providing care for
your loved one. We understand that it is difficult to make
decisions about loved ones' nursing care needs. We also understand
the many questions associated with this process of choosing
a nursing home: How can I ensure that my mother will receive
the best care possible? What is the track record of the organization
to which I am entrusting my father's care? Will that organization
be responsive when I have questions or concerns along the
way?
At Seattle Keiro,
we strive to be responsive to your needs as your concerns
change and questions arise. We know that this responsiveness
is key to your peace of mind. We want you to feel secure in
knowing that your loved one is receiving the best care in
an environment infused with kimochi -- a deep sense
of compassionate caring.
- Do you currently have openings?
While availability varies throughout the year,
we strive to accommodate each new resident in the most timely
manner possible. The best way to begin the process is to
contact our Admissions Coordinator, Lisa Madison
and schedule a time to apply and discuss your loved ones'
needs. Lisa can be reached at (206) 726-6521 or lmadison@nikkeiconcerns.org
-
What types of payment does Keiro accept?
We accept Medicare, Medicaid, private pay
and Long Term Care insurance. We also have relationships
with Managed Care Organizations and Health Maintenance Organizations.
-
What are the eligibility criteria to be
a resident at Keiro?
An individual's physician or hospital must
determine that skilled nursing care is required. If the
potential resident is covered by Medicaid, the Department
of Social and Health Services (DSHS) must also authorize
entry.
