The results are in and we'd like to share the exciting news of those winners drawn last night for the Nikkei Concerns 2004 Great Hawaii Getaway Raffle. On behalf of the residents and program participants, our thanks to every one who helped to make this year's raffle a success.

Nikkei Concerns’ 2004 Annual Raffle Rules
1. This raffle is open to the general public, all Nikkei Concerns employees (CEO, Keiro Administrator, Controller, and Directors of Community Services, Development & Communications, or Human Resources excluded), volunteers, board members and their families to purchase tickets and win prizes.

2. You must be over 18 years old to win.

3. Winner need not be present to win.

4. Paid tickets must be received by Friday, November 5, 5:00pm at Nikkei Concerns’ office at 1601 E Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98122, in order to be eligible for the drawing. Any paid ticket received after this time may not be eligible for the drawing and ticket purchaser will be notified after the Drawing and the ticket price will be refunded.

5. Drawing will be held November 10, 2004, at 8:00pm at Midori Condominiums’ Community Room, 1515 E. Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98122.

6. A visiting guest not directly associated with Nikkei Concerns will draw winning raffle tickets.

7. Six alternate winning numbers will be drawn (in case prizes are returned to Nikkei Concerns or not accepted).

8. Nikkei Concerns will notify, via phone, letter, email or fax, all Winners (whether or not they are present at time and place of the Drawing) within five business days of the Drawing.

9. All Winners must confirm (via phone, email, letter or fax) that they have received notification from Nikkei Concerns and will accept their winning prize within 30 days. Winners will have 30 days to claim their prize.

10. In order to claim a prize, the Winner must turn in the matching ticket stub or provide two pieces of photo identification.

11. Winning ticket numbers will be posted at the front desks of Seattle Keiro, Nikkei Manor and on the Nikkei Concerns website for 30 days after the raffle drawing.

12. If a Winner cannot be reached after a period of 30 days and at least 5 attempts from Nikkei Concerns to contact the Winner via phone, e-mail, fax, or mail, the prize will be given to an alternate winner whose number was drawn on November 10, 2004.

13. Prize restrictions:
• 1st Prize - Winners of airline tickets and Waikiki Parc Hotel stay must make reservations and use tickets within one year of the raffle drawing. Air travel must originate from western continental US states. Airline & hotel arrangements may be subject to availability or limited by travel blackout dates, locations, fees and other restrictions.
• 2nd Prize - Winners of airline tickets and Marina Fiesta Resort condo must make reservations and use tickets within one year of the raffle drawing. Accommodation days run Monday-Sunday, January 1-December 31, 2005. Resort reservations must be made in advance through donor and subject to availability. Winner responsible for cleaning fee. Air travel must originate from western continental US states and may be subject to availability or limited by travel blackout dates, locations, fees and other restrictions.
• 3rd Prize - Winners of airline tickets and Squaw Valley condo stay must make reservations and use tickets within one year of the raffle drawing. Squaw Valley condo blackout dates are December 18, 2004 through January 2, 2005; reservation must be made in advance through donor and subject to availability. Air travel must originate from the western continental US states and may be limited by travel blackout dates, locations, fees and other restrictions.
• 4th Prize - Check in time 4pm, check out 11 am. Sleeps 6. Dates are fixed for August 5-12th, 2005, unless alternative spring or fall date is made with donor in advance.
• 5th Prize - Accommodations based on availability and not valid on holiday weekends. Expires 12/31/05.
• 8th Prize - Winner must provide copy of mon. Note cards are 8.5 x 5.5; envelopes printed in black.
• 9th Prize - Two adult cooking lessons (1 person/2 classes or 2 people/1 class) at the West Seattle Thriftway Market. Advanced registration is required. Expires 5/10/05.
14. Each raffle ticket purchased equals one chance to win any of the above prizes. There is no limit on the number of tickets that one can purchase in this raffle drawing.

15. If a prize is defective in any way Nikkei Concerns will not be held responsible.

16. All prizes are subject to IRS tax regulations.

17. Nikkei Concerns employees are eligible to sell raffle tickets on behalf of the organization and participate in a raffle selling contest in which the prize will be of value for no more than $10. They are not allowed to sell tickets to Nikkei Concerns’ program residents, families, volunteers or other participants during working hours (Fund Development/Communications staff excluded). Receptionists at the front desks of Seattle Keiro & Nikkei Manor are exceptions to this rule. Only tickets sold by receptionists during non-working hours or off-site will be eligible towards the employee raffle sales contest.
